Under the leadership of Pastor Timothy Edwards and Elder Tom Frazier, we are committed to constant improvement in how we serve our community. Whether you are a long-time member or a first-time visitor for our 11:00 AM Sunday service, we want your arrival to be seamless.
Accessible Parking & Navigation
To provide the easiest access for those with mobility needs, we have designated ADA-compliant parking spaces. These spots are located in the most level areas of our lot to ensure a short and safe distance to our accessible entry points. These spaces provide the necessary clearance for van ramps and mobility aids.
How to Access the Sanctuary
While our historic main entrance features steps, we have established a fully accessible side entrance to accommodate all visitors. This is the primary entry point for anyone utilizing a wheelchair, walker, or stroller.
- Side Entrance Ramp: Our side entrance is equipped with a professionally installed wheelchair ramp. It features a gradual slope and secure handrails to ensure a safe transition into the building.
- Entry Signage: Look for our accessibility signage that will guide you from the parking area directly to the side ramp entry.
- Level Interior: Once inside the side entrance, the path to the sanctuary and restrooms is level and free of obstructions.
Sanctuary Layout: The Benefit of Flexible Seating
At Clean Slate, we have moved away from traditional fixed pews in favor of individual, movable chairs. This setup allows us to be significantly more inclusive than a standard sanctuary layout:
- Integrated Seating: We don’t have a “designated” wheelchair section in the back. Because our chairs can be moved, we can create a space for you anywhere in the room. This allows wheelchair users to sit comfortably in the middle of the congregation alongside their families.
- Spacious Aisles: Our flexible floor plan allows for wider aisles, making it easy to navigate mobility scooters or walkers throughout the sanctuary.
- Inclusive Worship: Every seat in the house offers a clear view of the Word, ensuring you are a full participant in the worship experience.
Ministry for All Abilities
Our commitment to accessibility extends to our specific ministries:
- Adult and Teen Sunday School: Our meeting spaces are chosen for their accessibility, ensuring everyone can participate in deep-dive biblical study.
- Children’s Church: We ensure our kids’ environments are open and navigable, so every child can learn about the love of Jesus in a space that fits their needs.
